On the weekend of November 22-24, 2024, the Czech-German Journalism Award Ceremony and the Annual Conference of the Czech-German Discussion Forum took place in Potsdam with the theme “Networking without Borders: Future Perspectives on Czech-German Cooperation”
We are very happy that CGYPP was there. In total, 16 alumni from across the years participated in both days in various roles. They acted as panellists, moderators or were involved in the journalism awards. We were equally pleased that Carsten Schneider, Minister of State and Commissioner of the Federal Government for East Germany, mentioned CGYPP as an example of good practice of cross-border programs that helps to enrich mutual contacts in his opening speech.
The venue was the beautiful Kaiserbahnhof which provided an inspiring space for workshops and stimulating debates on Czech-German relations from different perspectives. As usual, the annual conference was prepared by the Council of the Czech-German Discussion Forum in cooperation with the European Academy Berlin and the Forum 2000 Foundation. We are very grateful to the Czech-German Fund for the Future for this opportunity to meet not only the alumni group of the program, but also key figures in Czech-German relations.
