A regular part of the CGYPP became volunteer weekend for alumni and their friends and families. It is usually organized in places connected with the history of the coexistence of Czechs and Germans. This time we helped between June 4 and June 6, 2021, in Prachatice where organisation Živá vila brings life back to Kral Villa – a functionalist monument with an interesting history.
In a situation where the traditional January meeting of the alumni program could not take place because of the ongoing pandemic, this event replaced it. Unfortunately, due to the measures currently in force restricting border crossings, our friends living in Germany could not join. Despite these circumstances, more than 30 people gathered and spent a great weekend in Southern Bohemia. Special thanks go to Jana Urbanovská (2017 alumna) who organised this volunteering weekend.
