The best thing about CGYPP are alumni of our program. There are now over 140 of them and we are happy to be able to meet again after two years.
Meeting in the traditional January date was not possible and so we did not meet until May. This time the alumni meeting was held between May 6 and 8 in Bozi Dar and almost 30 of us came together! Apart from spending time together with discussions, we also walked through the spring nature and visited Königsmühle and Jachymov. We attended the “Řetízkárna Festival”. The association Političtí vězni.cz started the project of saving “Řetízkárna” – a former changing room for prisoners, which is the last authentic building from the communist labour camp Rovnost in the Jáchymov region. Their goal is to buy the building and turn it into a community and educational centre.
The program is initiated and financed by the Czech-German Fund for the Future.
